Dennis Sullivan, 74

Dennis Allen Sullivan, 74, of Delano, MN, passed away Aug. 30, 2022.

He was born April 3, 1948, in Fond du Lac, WI, the son of Calvin and Ethel (Siedschlag) Sullivan.

He attended and graduated from White Bear Lake High School with the class of 1966.

Dennis was known as a jack of all trades. From welding to carpentry, he could fix just about anything. He never left the house without his tape measure and notebook for measurements. He never needed to call a repairman, because any issue that came around, he was able to take care of himself. Dennis was meticulous, and took pride in his work; a classic perfectionist.

He wore his heart on his sleeve, and didn’t hide his emotions. With his tough demeanor, there was still a soft side to him, especially when it came to his beloved German shepherds. He was devoted to their care, and treated Cole, Abby, Luna, and Dixie like his children.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Ethel; brothers, Jim and Lloyd; and sister, Marlene.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Diane; children, Micheal (Michele) Sullivan, Ronald Sullivan, Jennifer Sullivan, and Jennifer (Rod) Hasse; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Sylvia Schaefer and Jean Andrews; and his beloved dogs and best friends: Cole, Abby, Luna, and Dixie.

A funeral service took place Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022, at 12 p.m. (noon), with visitation one hour prior at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, MN. Interment followed at Cassel Cemetery in Delano.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Online condolences for the family may be directed to www.thepetersonchapel.com
