Lois Marie Diers, 91, of Howard Lake, MN, passed away at Stoney River Memory Care of Ramsey Monday, May 8, 2023.

She had reached the age of 91 years, four months, and 21 days.

Lois was born Dec. 17, 1931, at Buffalo, MN, to Roy and Mabel Mainquist. 

She grew up on a farm in rural Buffalo and graduated from Buffalo High School in 1949.

At the Swedesburg-Marysville Lutheran Church in rural Waverly, MN, May 26, 1951, she married Gordon LeRoy Diers of Howard Lake.  The couple made their home on a farm between Waverly and Howard Lake, where they raised four boys.

Lois and Gordon retired in 1988 and moved to Howard Lake. They enjoyed traveling and took their family on many memorable camping trips across the US.

She was a dedicated mother and a frequent volunteer at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Howard Lake.

Survivors include her children: Mark of Howard Lake, Timothee of Billinudgel, Australia, Paul (Connie) of Oak Grove, MN, and Brian (Judith) of Urbana, IL; grandchildren: Mitchell of Oak Grove, Andrew (Kirstyn) of Modesto, CA, Sophia of Madison, WI, and Emma of Minneapolis, MN; and great-grandchildren, William and Samuel of Modesto. Lois will be missed by all that knew her

Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; a brother, and a sister

A funeral service took place at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023, at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Howard Lake. Visitation took place one hour prior to the service at St. John’s.
