Daniel Hendrickson, 96

Daniel Herbert Hendrickson, 96, of Kimball, MN, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the Cokato Manor. 

A funeral service took place Monday, March 27, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, rural Dassel, MN, with Sam Hendrickson and Brett Bludorn officiating. Interment took place at the Swan Lake Cemetery following the service.

There was a visitation Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church in rural Dassel, and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.

Daniel Herbert Hendrickson was born Oct. 27, 1926 to Arvid and Lempi (Kalliainen) Hendrickson in Kingston, MN.

Daniel was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.

Daniel served in the Navy from 1944 to 1947.

He was then united in marriage to Shirley Smith Sept. 19, 1952. They resided on a dairy farm in Kingston.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Hendrickson; children, Jeanne Hallstrom of Dassel, Karen (Norvell) McDaniels of LaCenter, WA, Sharon (Richard) Koistinen of Hayti, SD, Steve (Shelley) Hendrickson of Dayton, MT, Linda (Sim) Kysar of Benton City, WA, Nancy (Warren) Lindberg of Cokato, MN, Elaine (Richard) Oja of Dollar Bay, MI; Martin (Nora) Hendrickson of South Haven, MN, Becky (Christopher) Rhoades of Kalispell, MT, Lisa (Tim) Waatti of Dollar Bay; Glen (Ingrid) Hendrickson of Kimball, and Roger (Tammy) Hendrickson of Two Harbors, MN; 85 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; siblings, Reuben (Helen) Hendrickson of Battle Ground, WA; Francis Hendrickson of Battle Ground; David (Sanna) Hendrickson of Kimball; Elizabeth Foley of Washington, and Raymond (Kathleen) Hendrickson of Woodlawn, WA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvid and Lempi Hendrickson; siblings, Albin Hendrickson and Ruth Foley; grandchildren, Lyle McDaniels and Lori Kysar; and a son-in-law, John Hallstrom.
