Laurie Ann Merle Wells, the daughter of Chris and Kim (Avice) Tchouban, was born April 18, 1960, in Chico, CA.
When Laurie was a young child, the family moved from California to Minneapolis, MN, where Laurie attended school in Edina, MN. Laurie was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kingston.
Laurie was united in marriage to Mark Byrne. Together, they made their home in the New Hope, MN. To this union, two sons were born: Luke and Jacob Byrne.
Laurie was united in marriage to Raymond Wells May 1, 1983. Together, they moved to Kingston in August of 1983 and have made a home in Kingston for 40 years. To this union, two sons were born Zachariah and Kaleb Wells.
Laurie loved people and was a lifelong caregiver. She had worked for many years as a home health aid and had worked for many years at the Lakeview Ranch in Dassel.
Laurie had a heart of gold; she was always giving out cups of Hershey’s Hugs to brighten up someone’s day in their time of need. It was a small reminder that someone cared.
She was an avid Vikings fan, and she loved gardening and art and crafts, always using the Dremel tool to decorate items. But most of all, she loved her family with her whole heart, and her husband, sons, and grandchildren were the love of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Wells of Kingston; son, Zachariah (Ali) Wells of St. Michael, MN; five grandchildren, Dyson Byrne, Jaslynn Byrne, Madison Wells, Henry Wells, and George Wells; her mother, Kim Zummack of Litchfield, MN; and siblings, Paula (Brian) Rohling of Litchfield, Dawn (Patrick) Klotz of Savage, MN, and Dave Tchouban, MN.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Jacob Byrne, Luke Byrne, and Kaleb Wells; father, Chris Tchouban; and stepfather, Raymond Zummack.
