DOT inspections on Highway 212 near Norwood Young America
At Mid-County Auto, Truck and Tire Center, we have the skills and training to perform quality Department of Transportation inspections. We help you meet all state and federal specifications to assure the safety of your vehicle for you and others on the road.
Check out Minnesota Statutes, Section 169.781 (M.S. § 169.781) for requirements on annual inspections of motor vehicles registered in Minnesota.
If you have a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) with Minnesota license plates, you are required to have your vehicle inspected once a year. Interstate, private and for-hire trucks are also subject to safety regulation by Mn/DOT and the Minnesota State Patrol (although there are some exemptions from some requirements).
Our DOT inspections are thorough and accurate. We check your brake system, parking brake, steering mechanism, lighting devices and reflectors, tires, horn, windshield wipers, rear view mirrors, coupling devices, wheels, rims and emergency equipment.
Whether you have construction equipment, buses, semis, fire trucks, ambulances, tractor-trailers, or other heavy trucks, we are qualified to provide the inspections you need.
If your heavy truck passes inspection, we will issue a decal that is valid for one year. You must display this current Minnesota inspection decal on your vehicle.
