Emmy’s Salon offers style for the entire family

Emmy’s Salon, located at 924 6th St. in Howard Lake, is a one-stop salon for the entire family, offering hair-cuts, coloring, permanents, waxing, manicures, pedicures, and tanning.

Emmy Logeais opened Emmy’s Salon in February 2005, after attending St. Olaf College and Scot Lewis School of Cosmetology.

Emmy’s employs five professional stylists, dedicated to making the customers happy, according to Logeais.

“We’re local gals helping our local customers,” Logeais said.

Logeais noted they all enjoy getting to know their customers and helping them feel good about themselves.

Emmy’s Salon offers customers a full line of beauty products, with everything from hair gel and shampoo to nail polish and decals.

Emmy’s Salon also offers customers the ability to return products that don’t work well for them, Logeais said.

Logeais noted that customers should purchase their beauty products from their local salon more often, because it is better product and it helps the local economy.

“It breaks my heart when my customers say they have gotten their products at Walmart or Target, because they are not the same quality products,” Logeais said, “they are usually diluted.”

“Also, having a friendly stylist, that gets to know the customers makes a difference when picking the correct hair care product,” Logeais commented.

Emmy’s Salon is preparing for the holiday season by offering holiday beauty product packaging specials and December gift certificate specials.

Logeais noted that Emmy’s stylists enjoy the extra visitors during the holiday season.

“My favorite is when a mother brings in her daughter,” Logeais said, “I feel like we know we have a happy customer when Emmy’s becomes a stop on mother-daughter day.”

Although Logeais and the other stylists at Emmy’s enjoy the mother-daughter stops, it is meant for the whole family, Logeais commented.

“I think many times, men think they have to go to a ‘barber shop’ to get their hair cut,” Logeais said, “but we offer men’s cuts, as well.”

Emmy’s Salon is open Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesdays Noon to 8 p.m., Fridays 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
